Twitterep gives the power to the people

 

As an advertising channel Twitterep has several advantages. Whenever a message reaches someone, the original public source of the message is not directly from the company or user that is sending it, but from a trusted source, a Twitterep that they know or respect, and therefore the message holds more sway and credibility. Even when the message itself doesn't spread, that means that your Twittereps didn’t find it compelling, giving you instant feedback that you should refine your product, service, or message. By adding in comprehensive metrics, advertisers can track all this Twitter based activity better and with more granularity than ever before.

But why should people become Twittereps? In large part, to be part of the latest news and releases from those advertisers they follow. If you are a "fan" of a certain company, you should Twitterep for that company. Part of the motivation will be up to the advertiser- they need to send compelling messages and possibly break news through the Twitterep system. We realize that such a system disproportionally benefits large, established companies, so we plan to institute a contest mechanism based on the metrics we capture.
